Frank Dantonio is the Managing Principal of Multistate Tax Service, LLC and has more than 30 years of diversified state and local tax leadership experience in government, corporate industry, and as a tax practitioner addressing: sales and use taxes, real and personal property taxes, income and franchise taxes, tax abatements, tax incentives, Ohio’s new commercial activity tax, conducting tax research, issuing tax opinions, drafting tax legislation, developing and implementing tax planning ideas, preparing tax returns, managing tax audits, and filing tax appeals.

Prior to founding Multistate Tax Service, Frank was a State and Local Tax Partner with Deloitte & Touche; Limbach, Nolan & Dantonio; and American Express Tax & Business Services and previously had senior tax leadership positions at Wendy’s International, American Electric Power, and Abbott Laboratories, and Coopers & Lybrand.

Multistate Tax Service provides state and local tax advisory and advocacy services to a variety of industries such as: manufacturing, distribution, transportation, retail, oil, gas, mining, chemical, refining, physicians, health care facilities, higher education, trade associations, construction, financial institutions, insurance, automotive dealerships, waste removal, employment services, hospitality, advertising, research and development, technology, racing teams, college coaches, professional athletes, collegiate athletes, and accounting firms, law firms, and consulting firms to temporarily assist their clients.

Active with several tax coalitions and business organizations, Multistate Tax Service has significant experience drafting tax legislation and testifying before the Ohio Legislature on: revising the manufacturing sales tax exemption, eliminating the franchise tax, creating new tax credits for providers of electronic information services, enacting new tax exemptions for purchasing manufacturing and quality assurance testing equipment, eliminating the personal property tax, passing new tax incentives for internet and mail-order companies, and enacting the new commercial activity tax.

Multistate Tax Service is active with the Ohio Chamber of Commerce (Tax Committee), The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association (Tax Committee), Ohio Oil & Gas Association (Tax Sub-Committee), The Ohio Trucking Association, and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.

Frank received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Otterbein College in Business Administration and Accounting and is a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s and a faculty member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s, Lorman Education Services, and National Business Institute and a frequent speaker at various national, regional, and state tax conferences.
